ICONIC!
These could be put into some of the categories below, but they are ICONIC Halloween movies… so I am giving them their own category! Remember- some of these are *definitely* scary and others are just Halloween faves!

THRILLING/CREEPY/MYSTERIOUS/ SPOOKY/HAUNTING!
This category is filled with movies that don't necessarily fit in the other categories… mostly they are psychological horror films, but some are just mysterious thrillers!
- Midsommar (R): This movie is definitely terrifying and gory, but most of all it is just very creepy and will leave you wondering what the heck just happened!
- Lake Mungo (R): If you want to contemplate your existence, this is the film for you! More dread than scares, and definitely unsettling! I think this one is on Amazon Prime Video!

- As Above, So Below (R): You can watch this eerie horror/thriller on Netflix!

GORY!
You've been warned!
- Saw franchise, 8 total: Saw – Saw VII + Jigsaw (R): They are infamous for their gore, but I am OBSESSED with this franchise because of the storylines! Sometimes TV channels will show marathons and Jigsaw is on Peacock!
- You're Next (R): Peacock
- Green Room (R): Netflix
- The Descent (R): Amazon Prime Video, Tubi … PS- The UK ending is better if you can find it!
- Candyman (R): Hulu + Live TV, SyFy channel throughout the month!

- The Autopsy of Jane Doe (R): Netflix
- Hush (R): Netflix
- The Witch (R): Showtime channels in October! A few other streaming services have it with specific subscriptions!
**PS: A few of the movies listed I have NOT seen, but they were recommended to me by one of my life-long pals, who is a TOTAL Movie Queen, and her SPECIALTY is Spooky Szn Flicks!**
Wanna Binge Instead?!
Here are some of my favorite scary TV shows! They're all on Netflix!
- Haunting of Hill House: If you have not seen this, watch it NOW! This is definitely one of the scariest TV shows I've ever watched! It's one of my all-time favorite Netflix series. It's so intricate and the characters are PERFECT. There's a lot of scary images and jumping out, so beware!
- Marianne: This 8-episode, French horror show was a quarantine find and I LOVED it. Another genuinely scary show with a lot of jumping out, some gore, and most of all it's super creepy and witchy!
- Bates Motel: Adapted from Psycho, we get to see Norman Bates grow up… CREEPY! It can be violent and a little gory, but it's definitely thrilling!
- American Horror Story: Classic! My favorite seasons: Murder House(1), Hotel(5), Coven(3). You can find AHS on other streaming services, as well!
- Stranger Things: If you STILL have not seen it, this is your reminder to watch it because it's a masterpiece!!
If I missed YOUR favorite, let me know so I can add it to MY watch list!
BOO-ckle up! It's about to get scary!!
